The Red River Chapter of the Association for Commuter Transportation supports individual mobility management professionals and organizational members in their efforts to reduce traffic congestion, conserve energy, and improve air quality by providing education, professional development, networking, and advocacy opportunities. We serve the states of Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.
Our chapter was formed to carry out the aims and purposes of the ACT on a local/regional basis. The Red River Chapter of the Association for Commuter Transportation publishes a newsletter for its members, holds regional meetings and net conferences, conducts seminars and workshops designed to enhance professional development, and keeps members up-to-date on local, state, and national issues and policy affecting the industry. Our chapter also provides members with excellent networking opportunities allowing them to share information and make new contacts.
As an ACT member, you are not only a part of the local chapter but also a part of the national ACT Association, which further enhances your connectivity to ACT’s counterparts throughout the country. Not only will you have the opportunity to network with other members in the region and the country, but you will also gain unique access to webinars and professional training sessions in partnership with the Center for Urban Transportation Research/Best Workplaces for Commuters. Additionally, members who are TDM professionals have access to the TDM Review library, which contains a wealth of archived features that continue to serve as an important resource on TDM.
